Re: voice sms for sprint touch pro

Try Nuance Mobile Voice Control. Works great. You can say, "text Bill Smith, PLEASE CALL ME BACK IN 5 MINUTES. I'M IN A MEETING ETC" and it will convert that to text and you can send as SMS. Great for when you are driving. Limits you to about 20-25 characters. There is a monthly cost for the service of about 5.99/month. You can also add appointments, go to webistes and compose email all via voice to text translation. Give it a look . . .

I want this too. It's like a poorman's visual voicemail (with no call forwarding hassle to worry about). You can listen to a voice mail from a specific person without going through the rest of your voicemail.

You guys are missing the point. Voice SMS is not about voice to text or text to voice conversion. It is sending a recording (like a voicemail) but shows up as an sms. The receiver clicks on a link which will play a recording...no speech to text conversion. The nice thing about it is you know you got a voice mail from a specific person and you don't have to listen to other voicemails to get to this one. Like I said, it's a poorman's visual voicemail.

Re: voice sms for sprint touch pro

I use Phonetag and it works beautifully for what you are ultimately trying to do. However, You have to pay for it, but it's great for visual voicemail and you also get every voice mail sent as an e-mail attachment, not to mention it transcribes the voice mail to text so if you're in a meeting you can read it. It's cost $$ and you have to have sprint forward your calls. But if you really need it, (like i do) you'll need to pay for it.

Check it out if you want: http://www.phonetag.com/

I like it, i think iam going to try this one, whatever they charge plus the 0.20 that sprint charge you for forwarding your calls, but if really needed is awesome..
