Re: Has ANYONE successfully physically hard reset their Verizon Touch Pro???

This is how i hard reset my verizon touch pro.
  1. Remove the battery then put the battery back in (device is off at this point)
  2. Press and hold the center key (the circle on the front)
  3. Press and hold the power button for 5-8 seconds
This is the method i use to hard reset my device and it works everytime, once i see the hard reset message i release the buttons and hit volume up.

Re: Has ANYONE successfully physically hard reset their Verizon Touch Pro???

I was going over and over tons of posts rtying to get mine to reset. Mind you I haden't had it for 3 hours so I didn't have a feel for the center button yet. I was trying to press the damm thing through the back for a while. I kinda started over and "gently" held the center button, that was my problem. It does work you just need to get the feel for it.

i hard reset after every flash and have never had a problem. as others have said, hold down on the center button and press and hole the soft reset button. no need to power off or use the vol down.

Can I flash my phone via PPCKitchen when in bootloader? I may just try that
power down+volume up+center button+soft reset

Re: Has ANYONE successfully physically hard reset their Verizon Touch Pro???

Yes, I just did a hard reset, on a htc touch pro, hold the phone on its side and turn off, now press the power button and the down volume at the same time, you do not have to press hard, as the phone powers up the sreen will say this will lose all data, Remember to press lightly on the buttons, also it may take many times to get the phone to response it took me 4-5 times and the tech guy also did it once and then took 8 more times to get it again. back up your stuff first ie contacts etc. Good lucky
