Having Trouble Installing a New ROM

I just downloaded the new Sprint Touch Pro 2.0 ROM that was just leaked. No luck. I get a message that says that there was a communication error while trying to install it. The screen on the Pro sticks at 0%, and I have to take out the battery to start it back up. I've tried installing it multiple times, but still no luck. I even tried installing the new Mighty ROM, but it's giving me the same error message every time.

Does anyone know anything that could help me out?

Sorry if it's been asked but have you unlocked it already?? And what ROM were you to begin with?

It's Sprint CDMA. I didn't know you could "unlock" CDMA PDA's, per say. But I currently have the stock ROM that I have tweaked to death.

When I start the ROM process, the multi-colored screen pops up that says "Security Unlocker."

After about 30 seconds of no activity, the following message pops up:

ERROR [262] UPDATE ERROR

The ROM Update Utility has encountered communication errors during the update process. The program will guide you step-by-step to recover from the errors so you can continue with the update.

At which point, I just remove the battery and restart the Pro.

you have to unlock using cmonexs hard spl, check out this thread http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42503

I had the comm error when running hardspl but I tried it on my Win7 laptop and it worked fine.

Thanks, ryallchild. The unlocker in the link you posted works like a charm. I now have the leaked ROM running. I clicked on the "Thanks" icon for you.

If you are talking about the leaked DIAMOND (not Touch Pro)'s 2.0 ROM then check the Upgrades section. Search is your best friend.
