I have to agree that it's time to get the dvd player back again. Glad I got my raise this year. Time for some toys

Re: HTC Touch Pro TV-Out Integration in my car.

It would totally be cool if there were some way to use your car's touch screen to operate the TP. Of course this isn't possible given that the TP doesn't have usb drivers, and therefore no external hardware input. STILL, I can only dream.

Nice car BTW. I was thinking of ditching my '02 Defender II for one.

Looks like it might be possible but it is just a matter of getting (or creating) the right driver. I have been looking into this possibility since I got my Pro. Hopefully some day someone will figure it out.

There is a guy on the land rover disco3/lr3 forums that has a DIY touchscreen mod that makes it a USB HID device. My car uses the same NAV screen. I thought about it but it is too much work. That is the very reason why I took out my carputer (powered by an eee pc) and replaced it with a Touch Pro. Out of the box, it does everything I need. I like the fact that my riders can surf youtube which keeps them entertained.

Man that is awesome! This is exactly what I wanted to do with my Kenwood Stereo. I was talking about this very thing like you have done with the wife. Thanks for showing now I have a goal for this month.

Re: HTC Touch Pro TV-Out Integration in my car.

In case anyone is interested!

I was able to use my kids Leapster Lmax video cable with the HTC converter and the EnableTVOut.cab to view my HTC touch pro from USCC on my TV. The only difference is the RED plug is the Video and the White and Yellow are audio. Works Great!
