Re: state caller id??

Has anyone done a search on Google for CityID? The latest version is 2.1. It displays the caller's city & state. Also has a nice app for reverse lookup. Runs smooth on my TP, displays the city & state right under the number. Came pre-installed with all the other Alltel garbage... Might be the only useful piece of crap Alltel put on the phone.

Found this thread:

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=1295

Looks like it was updated with the latest version!

Re: state caller id??

CityID is a trial only. After that it has to be billed to your wireless account, so even if we got the CAB to install it on any phone, it would only work with Alltel phones.

I am not sure about that... I have had the phone for almost 2 months now and I'm not paying for it... The program resets itself after every 15 days?? Don't know if it is a fluke... Might want to try and run the app and at least try...

Re: state caller id??

I stand corrected... The app loaded up and asked if I wanted to pay $1.99 for it... Looks like I might be looking for a different direction...

Re: state caller id??

Just finished a complete re-write of LocateCaller. Most important new feature is working call waiting ID. Also configuration is no longer necessary, the app configures itself.

Uninstall old version if necessary, and install the attached CAB. Unfortunately the dialer skin still has to be disabled. I'm working on a fix for this.

Re: state caller id??

definitely liking it now. fullscreen photos would be the last 'appreciated' tweak. this app is still, now, a must have though. even without fullscreen photos.

Re: state caller id??

The day we've all been waiting for is here! LocateCaller2 is now working with Phone Canvas! No need to disable your dialer skin! Just grab the RC2 cab, install it, and soft-reset. Download and more details at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=482872

Please try it and report back. And as always, you may show your appreciation by adding to my coffee fund
