got the same problem and sprint told me it was actually covered for 1 year by htc going to take it in tommorow dont wanna wait for replacement or refurb, was worried it was b/c of something i installed luckily not after reading this thread

i have had the exct same problem and im wondering if i need to restore the original sprint rom and relock the phone before bringing it to sprint or utilizing the 1 year HTC warranty?
