Tep/erp
I just got a notice in the mail that the previously $50 insurance claims on Sprint are moving up to $100 for the Touch Pro...
I guess all the people filling claims for Touch Pros has caused them to jack up the deductable. It affects a lot of devices they are now calling "Tier 2". Just a word if no one else has gotten this mailing yet. http://www.nextel.com/assets/pdfs/en...chedule_en.pdf |
Re: Tep/erp
I have never had to pay a deductible but it is bullsh1t

Re: Tep/erp
Our phones are listed on the last page under "UT Starcom". The models 6800 through 6950 are all listed as Tier 2 devices, all bearing a $100 deductible after 4/19/2009.

Re: Tep/erp
well its still cheaper than 500 but the only way I would have to pay is broken screen, water damage and or lost or stolen. Still suck!

Re: Tep/erp
ya i totally dont doubt it either, it pissed me off when customers would come in demanding a free upgrade replacement from the mogul to a TP and they wouldn't pay there bill and dont even use the phone to its full capabilities they just want it cuz its "new and cool". but its odd that he found out through the mail like that and i still have yet to find out lol... Sprint Speed baby!

Re: Tep/erp
I have gotten this as well, the letter does not come from Sprint, but Assurion. I'm not too hapy about it either, but it kinda makes sense, I have seen many threads over several forums about people bricking their phones and they fix it by calling it in lost or stolen because they feel sprint will know they did something they weren't supposed to. This is the cost of insurance fraud here people.
