Re: Can't connect Touch Pro via USb

I had the exact same problem just a little while ago. First try restarting your comp and then plugging it in, and if that doesn't work then see if you can find a microSD card adapter and plug that in with the SD. When I did that, it asked me if I wanted to fix the bad sectors in the card, and ever since I did that, it has worked fine when going from phone to USB.

Re: Can't connect Touch Pro via USb

I have a similar situation.
My computer at work will no longer recognize the TP as you're describing but it still works on my laptop and other computers. My work computer wont do active sync mode or storage mode (for transferring files to SD). I have spent many work hours trying to resolve this issue with no luck.

To be clear: my TP works on any computer except for the one in my office. IDK what I did to piss it off.

I would try re-installing activesync before doing a hard reset.

Does your company have an IT department? I work in IT with my company, and we don't like people connecting their personal devices (anything with storage basically) to our computers. I would try to find out if they did something on their end to block your access.

Re: Can't connect Touch Pro via USb

Try a shorter USB cable. I'm serious! Did the trick for me.

I have tried this on computers with and without activesync installed. Charging the phone works fine and I can use the phone's USB port to connect a headset which also works fine so I don't think the port is the problem. Is there anything I may have changed on the phone that would prevent USB connections? Is there anything I can check?
thanks
