Re: Sick and Tired of TP Opera Mobile Browser

You might want to give Opera Mini a try also, unless I need flash that's almost all I ever use.

Marvel over the hundreds of config settings!

I moved the cache to the storage card and change the First Update Delay from 2000 (2 seconds delay for EVERY web page you open... why?) to 200 (.2 seconds) and now the pages just, BAM, are there.

Those settings are under User Prefs.

After you change it, you have to scroll all the way to the bottom to tap the Save button.

Give it a try.
how do i make tabs reload in background?

Thanks, but what is the advantage of putting the cache on the storage card? Wouldn't the device's memory be faster as long as you have enough room (which I assume everyone would)?

Re: Sick and Tired of TP Opera Mobile Browser

You can have a larger cache, and at least for me my class 6 card seems as fast or faster then internal store. Who knows. Setting the wait time to 0 or 200 is VERY easy to notice, no matter where the cache is.

FYI the First update delay is found under user pref (took me forever to find it)

Second, what is the exact field name to change the cache location, and what should the be the exact text be (no browser, have to manual type in). Also, would you suggest for someone that is using the stock card (1GB, not sure what class it is).

Re: Sick and Tired of TP Opera Mobile Browser

I was attempting to get that program to work and deleted the Opera Mini cab that came preloaded. Now when I go to the internet tab on the touch flo and click on the globe icon nothing happens. Is there a way to get this back without doing a hard reset?

THANKS!!!

+1 for opera mini 4.2 incredibly fast and stable, anything requiring flash I use skyfire.

Also under User Prefs, Cache Directory4 is the name

I have a 4Gb card... you might not be any better off going on card or internal.

Is opera mini 4.2 better than the opera that comes stock on the sprint tp?
