Re: Sick and Tired of TP Opera Mobile Browser

I wanted to make a separate thread about tweaking Opera but couldn't find it and was hoping someone can point me to the right direction.

Things i want to do
Increase speed of browser, Like increase cache to the sd card
Load tabs in background
Increase Tab.
Sometimes the words would realign themselfs to fit to the screen, I want this to happen at all zoom levels

Things to make is much faster, again.

I have the same frustration as the OP and i am pretty sure this would help make the experience better.

Thanks again
Install this Diamond TF3D Config and you will do alot with it not only chaging the browser.

Re: Sick and Tired of TP Opera Mobile Browser

I have been trying for the past hour to install that cab but cant get it to work. I read through all the posts and no one was able to answer the question. For those of you that have installed that program, how do you delete the tweaks file that the OP indicates needs to be deleted? I am going crazy trying to figure it out!

the OP posted this:

Check this key:

HKLM\Drivers\TouchPanel

The value PressureThreshold should be a DWORD (REG_DWORD)

(Many people have this problem and got STRING (REG_SZ) for PressureThreshold, but this is wrong!)

You have two options:

1.: You delete the tweak.xml in program directory of my tool
OR
2.: You change PressureThreshold to DWORD in Registry

I cannot find the "tweak.xml" directory that he talks about. Does anyone know where it is? I am using PHM editor to go through HKLM.

Re: Sick and Tired of TP Opera Mobile Browser

Is this a troll?

Seriously...it has to be. Almost every single web site I go to with Opera Mobile looks exactly like it does on my desktop computer...

Re: Sick and Tired of TP Opera Mobile Browser

Not sure what that means, but rest assured I am just starting out with this Windows Mobile stuff and attempting to learn as much as I can. I am glad I found this site and have always appreciated all the information/help I have gotten here. With that said, I think I royally messed up. I was attempting to get that program to work and deleted the Opera Mini cab that came preloaded. Now when I go to the internet tab on the touch flo and click on the globe icon nothing happens. Is there a way to get this back without doing a hard reset?

Re: Sick and Tired of TP Opera Mobile Browser

Start Opera
enter opera:config into address bar and tap >

Marvel over the hundreds of config settings!

I moved the cache to the storage card and change the First Update Delay from 2000 (2 seconds delay for EVERY web page you open... why?) to 200 (.2 seconds) and now the pages just, BAM, are there.

Those settings are under User Prefs.

After you change it, you have to scroll all the way to the bottom to tap the Save button.

Give it a try.

Wow, amazing. And a TON of preferences on there. (Even though I don't know what half of them are for) Good tip!
