Re: Keyboard glitch
ummm... you see the little arrow next to the keyboard that brings up the QWERTY keyboard (on the bottom of the screen between Send and Menu) click the arrow and it should come up and sayTouch Input settings then just click Full QWERTY
OR! Settings/Input and chenge the input method to Full QWERY |

Re: Keyboard glitch
This happened to me, and I noticed that I had "enabled" the T9 in Diamond Tweak. I disabled, wait a bit, soft reset, and it's back to normal.
You could also try this: Go into the registry and ensure the following settings, then soft reset. HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\e001 0409 Layout Text to "eT9 IME" (This is the actual Dflt, but it changed to = COMP IME ) Ime File to "\windows\eT9ime.dll" (This is the actual Dflt, but it changed to = / windows/ compime.dll) – that’s why the problem there. HKCR\CLSID\{73AB106C-A726-484b-B610-BE3E1CF39821} (Default) = "XT9" |

Re: Keyboard glitch
I just wanted to post to anyone stumbling across this thread again that to fix the problem with the keyboard that only shows numbers/symbols, you need to reedit your registry to have
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Tegic\eT9\Ime CurrentET9Style = 0 For some reason it'll sometimes change 1 if you have the original autocomplete hack done. Reverting back to 0 fixes the numbers only issue and gives you back your normal keyboard. You don't even need to reset for this to take hold. On a side note I think this glitch is caused by powering down the device with your power button instead of a soft reset. It must do some sort of cleanup operation as you power off the device and revert some reg entries. |
