I have this dialer already Should I delete it b4 putting this on my phone. In order words does your cab include the dialer

Re: [Updated 1/21]Black Slide to Answer Fully Functional

If you have my original version, you can just run the cab for the new one and it'll ask you if you want to overwrite it, say yet.

I left the original one up there in case people would have problems with the compressed one. so yeah... just in case

Gotta give you props man, the inverted dialer looks nice!

Is there anyway you can round out the slider?

I tried but I guess the software calls for a square image. I'll try making it transparent later maybe but for now, this is the best I can do

Just disable it in S2U2 settings. Have Caller ID off and have S2A off and it will use the this instead.

Ok I need Help ASAP!... I had the original cab installed with the black slider and all was well. Today i installed the compressed cab and upon a soft reset my batter icon in the task bar is effed up. The number "1/2" blocking the battery icon and the time was replaced with the time and date...I checked the registry settings and Showtitlebar is still set to 0.. I uninstalled everything and that did not fix the issue

Have you tried reinstalling the dialer version you had before?

Hi guys, I just installed this, but nothing is happening when I receive a phone call. Am I supposed to enable it somewhere? Where are the settings for it? It seems simple enough, but I must be an idiot or something. I am currently trying to get it to work on my Sprint/Verizon HTC Touch Diamond.

thanks..

Have you performed a soft reset?

yeah, I did a soft reset already. Where is the program .exe anyway? I can't find it. Is it just automatically enabled?

There is no .exe

All the cab does is modify the dialer/manila files in \Windows to change the Incoming Call Screen to have a Slider

Ahh...I am currently using Iconsoft PhoneXtension 1.2 Dialer. I guess it needs the manila dialer?

YES! It has to be the manila dialer

Does anyone else have the experience of it not picking up by either the slide or hard button? Sometimes when I slide the ringer goes off but it never picks up, its like it just locks up till the call goes into voice mail. I am using Sprint Touch Pro stock rom.

fat boy,

I am using the stock Sprint Rom as well and haven't had this issue. (knock on wood!) Is it possible it is conflicting with something else you have installed?!?

thanks for this info, yes than I am sure it is. What else though conflicts with a phone? I am using SPB record but I had the problem before I installed it, I am also working in HD but same thing I had the problem before HD as well. Hmmm. Thanks for any help.

Are you using the compressed version or the original version?

Re: [Updated 1/21]Black Slide to Answer Fully Functional

Sorry for the (probably) dumb questions, but I do not have S2A or S2U2 installed. Can I still install the cabs in this post to get the black dialer? And, do I have to install all 3? Finally, if I want to get back to the stock dialer, do I just go to Add / Remove programs and uninstall these 3 cabs?

Thanks!

You do not need S2A or S2U2 to use the cabs. You will still get the black dialer and the black call history screens. But if you are going to install the dialer all you need it the S2A Compressed file. Uninstalling is a littl difficult since there seems to be an issue of fully uninstalling these files. I would suggest that you fully back up your configuration before you intall these files just to be safe.

I have been using the black dialer with S2U2 without any issues. Just be sure that you turn off the S2A in the S2U2 configuration and you will be fine.

Re: [Updated 1/21]Black Slide to Answer Fully Functional

I need to reinstall this because I had uninstalled the old black s2a, which removed the black dialer. It won't let me uninstall this. It told me it could not be fully removed.

DeMiNe0 01-27-2009 12:29 PM

Re: [Updated 1/21]Black Slide to Answer Fully Functional

OK, i was able to install the Black dialer, then reinstall the compressed s2u over the old one. Seems to be working good now. Is there a way to disable the hardware keys when the phone is ringing, as that is actually what I use S2U2's slide to answer for, which I would much rather use this one.

So u installed the compressed S2A over the old S2A Black dialer without any problems..?

This might be a dumb question but do the numbers on the dialer light up when pressed?

If so then what color?

Sorry, let me clarify. I originally installed Juggalo's, and the IPT Black Dialer Skin.

I removed Juggalo's S2A which for some reason also removed the Black Dialer. I had not noticed this so I installed rusk's compressed one.

I noticed that the Black dialer was missing, So i attempted to uninstall Rusks, but it failed... So i reinstalled the Black Dialer, then installed Rusks S2A over rusks compressed S2A that I had on before that failed to uninstall.

So far everything is working without issue.

Would love to know a way to disable hardware keys though from picking up or ignoring.

Re: [Updated 1/21]Black Slide to Answer Fully Functional

Does anyone know where Juggalo's black S2A is at? I searched through his rom thread as much as i could but did not see it.

Re: [Updated 1/21]Black Slide to Answer Fully Functional

I have stock sprint rom with s2u2 installed, is all I do is install the compressed cab and the call history invert cab? And does anyone have the original manilla files so that we can revert back to the original without a hard reset?

because this is as far as I know one of the only cabs that you can't revert back to default. So this is a pretty risky install if there are any snags along the way.

great cab, one little thing the top of the caller id pictures get cut off.....maybe make that curtain transparent or something. Just a thought

Re: [Updated 1/21]Black Slide to Answer Fully Functional

what is the S2a Compressed cab? Do I need to install the other two if I install this one? Is the compressed cab just a cab of the other two files merged into one cab?

pask2155 01-29-2009 01:36 AM

Re: [Updated 1/21]Black Slide to Answer Fully Functional

you only need to compressed cab to get the s2a, and black dialer. The inverted cab is only for your call history to change colors. Hope I HELPED!

quick question....

Doest this new dialer remove the flip to mute option? I only ask because a recent dialer I tried did just that.

Just checked myself after install and it does "NOT" remove flip to mute function.

Is it possible to change the background image of the dialer? Which manila file or dll or whatever do I have to edit? (would like same thing for CommManager and Sounds when gone to through Settings-tab)
