Re: I hate my Touch Pro
It's so weird how everyone is having issues with S2U2..
I've been using S2U2 since the day I got my TP with no issues except for volume control not working during phone calls....it was a pretty simple fix actually...... |

Re: I hate my Touch Pro
I have always had a litany of slow phones. My most recent was the HTC 6800 (Mogul). OMG. Talk about slow. I recently got the Touch Pro from Sprint. I have to tell you, I am almost giddy while playing with my new phone. It is amazing. No issues whatsoever. Much faster than any other phone ive ever had. I have customized the hell out of it and nothing slows it down. I would have to agree with the others that said that you might have a defective phone. I suppose its possible. Just my 2 cents. I love this phone.

Re: I hate my Touch Pro
I know people love S2U2 but I hate it. Try to get a different device.

Re: I hate my Touch Pro
Sooo up until about 5 days ago I was ready to return mine and get a second blackberry (pro is my work phone). I was getting so pissed with the phone unlocking itself even with just the power switch enabled, also it would always answer/ignore/silent a call before I can do anything because my pocket or holster would make the decision for me. I was pretty sick of it as it is my work phone and my clients were the only ones calling and subsequently getting hung up on.
I first found S2U2 and started using that, that fixed pretty much all my issues. I have had the failure to wake up thing but only twice in two weeks. Today for the first time my phone powered itself off as I slid to answer, guessing that is from S2U2. So far it isnt a huge bother but we will see how frequent it is going forward. The second and most important thing, which has totally made me fall in love with my phone, was I put Dmanns IDiamond tweek on it. Essentially its like having an Iphone but with good service, and a better looking more reliable device. Here is the link to his project. It is a beta, and has now expired, mine will expire the 15th of Jan, but he is suppose to have a new one coming out next month so I will just wait for it. Here is the link to that http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=463018 This beta was a bit quirky as far as adding the icons, it took me about an hour to add the 20 or so that I did because the phone kept freezing and needed to be restarted, but this should be fixed in the next release. Honestly it is probably the single best thing that could happen to this phone. It just makes the UI 10 times better and more convinient. As far as your SMS problem, that sounds like your phone is screwed. I had the same issue but once I turned it off in the menus it was fine. Sounds like for some reason yours isn't registering the commands properly. Good luck and I hope it works out for ya. Another decent looking UI that you can purchase is Winterface. Same kinda setup from what I am told. Here is a youtube video for the Iphone interface........... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ub2KgAscNgw ................. Mine runs alot faster then his in that video as far as programs opening and such. Last edited by Boon; 01-02-2009 at 10:12 PM. |

Re: I hate my Touch Pro
I also got a touch pro and tweaked it all out and still didnt like it. I returned it and went back to 6800. The lack of buttons was an issue plus the directional pad was clumsy. I am waiting for sprint to release the touch pro HD It looks nice!
