Unintentional calling in contacts, letter "r"

When I am viewing contacts and start typing someone's name with the letter "r" in it, it will automatically start calling the person that is highlighted at that moment. Any fix for this?

Do you have only one person beginning with 'R' in your contact list?

had the same issue until I loaded a new rom (juicy). Now no longer an issue!

I had that issue too. I would go to call my Grandma and always call someone else. Doesn't happen any more and I am using Juicys ROM.

Confirmed issue on all stock Sprint ROMS, also i remember this being discussed somewhere around here in Oct, many people confirmed as well. ::shrugs::

ace, your only fix right now if to flash to a custom ROM. If you need help, refer to the stickies in the Touch Pro Upgrades forum.

Not sure what exactly the bug is, but I'm using a stock Sprint ROM and was unable to recreate by going into Outlook contacts and typing various names with 'R's in them.... is there some specific situation I need to recreate this?
