Probably not. I've got 4.0.2 and it works for me. My "mount" button is right between sync and disconnect on the upper portion of the Missing Sync window. If you don't have it there click on the arrow way over on the right, and customize what buttons you have.

Thats weird. I updated to 4.03 and now the mount button is there!

You only get the "Mount" button if you're using OSX Leopard, and not in OSX Tiger.
