Re: Finally, a silicon/gel "skin" for the Sprint TP...

just picked up a green one from the seller.
my thoughts:
1. flimsy on the side like others have said. it kinda bothers me but it was cheap so i can't expect too much.
2. fit is great.
3. the "buttons" for the volume and power button aren't as great as i initially imagined. i have to press pretty hard for them to hit the actual buttons on the tp itself. i think i might have preferred having a cutout so i can just hit it myself.
4. related to the flimsiness and the "buttons", this becomes a problem for the side buttons because they wobble around.
5. the usb port is kind hard to access because the plastic slider material is right above it.
6. feels great to hold.

I took an exacto knife and shaved off the top corner of the plastic on the USB plug so it fits into the socket on the TP fully seated.

I like the nice case by Technocel they have in the Sprint stores.

It's similar. I use the locking swivel clip and the dash mount with the locking swivel clip. I couldn't ask for more!

Re: Finally, a silicon/gel "skin" for the Sprint TP...

ive been looking for a similar case and came across this on ebay. I know it's for the fuze but I'm hoping that they will be able to make it for the sprint version. Maybe with case covering the lower buttons, it will make the case less flimsy. Here is the ebay page

I had that case originally until it started creating a gap between the keyboard. It was a good case, I just didn't want to have any issues later on with the keyboard not sliding properly.

Let us know how this works. I would be especially interested to know if it is one piece or two pieces and how it all stays on.

Thanks!

Well see that one only works for GSM version of TP, as for us the CDMA folks we are left out from a lot of existing stuff simply because the dimension is different than GSM version.

When I bought it two days ago (This seller ships fast, got mine in a day) there were only black and blue. Now there are clear, pink, lime green and all you can imagine.

Just got it and replaced the clear hard case I had for a week. It adds about the same bulk to the phone but since this one is soft and very flexible, it makes the TP a bit more flexible.

It comes in two pieces, one for the top and one for the bottom. VERY easy to put on, just make sure that you glide the "tracks" on the top and the bottom together when you put it in so it won't glide out of the place.

The skin has raised buttons for the hardware buttons (power and volume) so you don't have to dig your finger in to push them. Also all the ports can be accessed quite easily. However it does leave about 1/8 inch between the top and the bottom part but as long as you align the slider locks right it's not too noticeable.

Finally someone made it and I wonder, does these people browse PPCGeeks...

Oh and, happy holidays. Pictures will be taken and posted upon request.
You can also go to your local Sprint store and get them. Well my local Sprint store carries them.
