Sometimes when folks hear VVM they immediately bring up Call Wave or Youmail or something, not realizing Phonefusion works just like VVM on the Instinct. Personally I think Phonefusion VVM is better then the Klausen VVM which the Instinct uses. Phonefusion has more features and sends the message to the device much quicker.

the instinct showed who it was that called. phonefusion only shows the phone number. It is not exactly like the instinct.

he meant the system and how that works is exactly like the instinc. the name with the caller ID is a sofware issue. its not a feature yet but phonefusion garanteed they are working on it and should be available next update

guranteed if you call this number they will be able to do it. over 30 people over at sprintusers have this working and i happen to be one of them. This is tier 2 tech support.

as you guys have stated phone fusion does only show the number, but not really a big deal, everything else is exactly the same. Also it has been confirmed this is only a software glitch and they are working on it. With the blackberrys they see the name of the person who left the voicemail, its only with winmo that we have to see the number, but they will fix that.

Re: visual voicemail

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I have a note on my account saying I'm hard to deal with all because this guy said how easy it is to get them to setup the visual voicemail.

I've spoken to about 6 different tier 2 reps, and the last few all mentioned something like "You've been told this once before and nothing changed." so I know there's a note on my account.

If it doesn't work after a few reps, you're SOL. Great for those who got it working, but seriously, stop making it sound like it's a sure thing. It's annoying as f**k to hear you brag about how you got it working. Almost as annoying as hearing some idiot brag about how he's ripping sprint off with a SERO pland and employee discount after never working for, or knowing anyone who worked for Sprint LOL.

Re: visual voicemail

I just posted this in another thread and it fits here as well. It explains why you were having a hard time with it Chronster.

This is cracking me up. You guys keep saying things like, "don't mention call forwarding, but just tell them to set your account up as conditional." Conditional call forwarding is still call forwarding and results in a .20/min charge.

Here is how it works. There are three categories of call forwarding on your Sprint account:

1. Unconditional: This will cause your incoming calls to immediately be routed to another phone number. Your phone will not even ring with this set up. Charge: .20/min.

2. Conditional: There are two types of conditional forwarding. Busy and No Answer. If this is set up, someone calls you, and the line is busy or you do not answer, the call will then be forwarded to the number specified. Charge: .20/min.

3. Default Voicemail. This is set up by default and is what sends unanswered calls to your sprint voicemail. It is technically a default form of conditional call forwarding that is overridden if you have set up busy/no answer call forwarding. Sprint does not allow the default voicemail number to be changed. It is against their policy because if they allowed people to change it, they could bypass being charged for call forwarding.

The ONLY way to avoid call forwarding charges is to have them change the default voicemail number on your account. As I have previously stated, I spoke to two different Supervisors in tier 2 tech support and was told that it is against Sprint policy to allow the default voicemail number to be changed. The biggest reason that most of the reps you talk to have no idea what you're wanting them to do is because they are not taught about it. The reason they are not taught about it is that Sprint doesn't want them to do it. Getting this done properly is going to be hit or miss at best.
