i wanted to reply in the other thread but it got closed. but sum1 was like this is not visual voicemail. i got this set-up and working well so if this is not visual voicemail what is it then?

ps: i think mod should just merge the thread instead of just closing them

Exactly, I noticed in that closed thread there were a few being critical of this app not having tried it. Sometimes when folks hear VVM they immediately bring up Call Wave or Youmail or something, not realizing Phonefusion works just like VVM on the Instinct. Personally I think Phonefusion VVM is better then the Klausen VVM which the Instinct uses. Phonefusion has more features and sends the message to the device much quicker.

You can setup the voicemail system to not require a passcode when calling from the Sprint phone; you'll still have to enter the code when dialing from a landline or other cell. It connects super quick...much better than using pauses when using Sprint service.

Yes, you may get visual voicemail like people get on the Instinct, but the difference in using Phonefusion is that Sprint will charge you for forwarding your calls, regardless if it us unconditional or conditional forwarding. The reason the mods keep closing down these threads is that it's pointless to have so many different threads repeating the same information. The same goes as to why they do not merge them. Why merge when the same information is just going to be repeated endlessly?

NO, NO and NO. AGAIN they dont charge anything as it is not a regular call forwarding set up. if you do the proper set-up you're good.

you gotta totally kill the sprint voicemail and have your number replaced by the 813 number.
and to double check that the sprint voicemail is killed you gotta call your own by pressing 1. if its the sprint voicemail then it's not set-up rite. if you go straight to the phonefusion voicemail you're all set.

Technically unlike Callwave or other services you are not forwarding calls, the only change being made is swapping out Sprints default voicemail number (your Sprint number) with Phonefusion *voicemail number*. The Sprint voicemail has to be killed not just disabled. Callwave gives you a number people can call, Phonefusion uses a number which is strictly for voicemail. You still dial your Sprint number from your device, if setup correctly you will go straight through to Phonefusion voicemail. You do not need to configure anything on your device. I have been using Phonefusion for over a month I have not been charged forwarding fees, there are many others who have been running the app with success without being charge forwarding fees!

It is recommended you set it up through Tier2 Tech Support Business.

I just spoke with a tier 2 supervisor. She said that they are NOT allowed to change that voicemail number so if you got someone to change it, kudos to you, but I wouldn't count on it being a definitive solution.

Yes, and it's quite nice. It just feels RIGHT, ya know? Like thats the way voicemail always should have been.

The problem with it though was it was constantly going down. I was always being told by friends that they couldn't leave a voicemail. I believe this was the result of testing, but nevertheless I dont want to be tested on. The instinct was an enormous failure at almost everything it was supposed to do. Visual voicemail was definitely a selling point for me though.
