If the programming in QPST is applied, and this cab is installed, you should be getting around 9-10 sats (outside) at a lock speed of about 6-10 seconds.

It doesnt matter if it shows on COM 4. Thats only on the OP's computer. If my computer had 4 com ports already then this may show up as 5 and 6. If you have active sync already and sync with bloothtooth then you may be using 5 and 6 so it will show up as 8 and 9. Etc etc etc... If I had 8 com ports then this may show up as 10 and 11... To be honest with you as long as it shows up and you connect to it you are good. When you try to connect to COm4 and get that error its because you already stated the phione is on COM7/8. Just keep going.

The port in QPST has NOTHING WHAT SO EVER TO DO WITH GPS PORTS just so you know. IM sure this question will be asked again as soon as a new page is started.

I did as you asked even though Bored said to "add Ports tab and add SURF7500A to Com4"

When I add to new ports I still don't see SURF7500A listed ANYWHERE.
The added ports show:

Com7 No Phone
Com8 WInCE (.........45).

No SURF 7500A..
Then if I go to service programming I see a strange SPrint phone number....

Please help -- I just don't want to screw this up & I'm not seeing what should be listed.

Ok, here's a cab I made to easily fix the Sprint banner problem without having to do any QPST edits or additional work. If your banner says Sprint, just install the cab and soft reset and it will be fixed.

I'm just a newbie with this (haven't even tried the hack yet) - but I wonder if the reason you are seeing such fast fix times is because you were running VZ Nav prior to this fix, and so either your gps satellite database is up-to-date, or you already have some sort of aGPS fix installed on your phone because of VZNav being active on your phone?

Does anyone know if this changes signal strength at all? This is my first day back at the office and i normally have some bars in here but today there is like no bars and in some parts of the office i am losing signal all together.

Edit:Signal just came back. Must of been Verizon being wonky.

I would love to know what to make of this. Half of us are not getting a lock, even with the AGPS Hack (me included) and the rest are working just fine. What gives. I am using Scott's latest ROM and see 6 sats outside but no lock. I have even tried changing from 4800 to 57600. But no luck.
