When you say "AGPS Hack" what exactly do you mean?

Tried this on my Omnia i910 and it freezez causing a soft-reset. Guess we'll need to mod this or figure out a different fix for the Omnia community hopefull!

Using the AGPS cab of yours and adding the settings into the GPSone tab using the QPST

I got AGPS working. The first time you use GPS it takes a long time. After that it seems to fix quickly (I soft-reset & tried to emulate a cold start & got 4 sats in about 30 seconds)..

GC - how can we verify that AGPS is actually working?

Thanks - you're the man. This was my problem (for hours)....

Agreed. Once you get the first lock your golden. The first lock can take a couple minutes. I did htis fix on a brand new phnoen less than one hour old and it locked second try in under 15 seconds. First time it timed out with Live Search. Turned locaion off and back on then restarted live search and BAM!

Also note:

I found TomTom 7.45 locks THE FASTES out of all GPS apps. I locked with TomTom and Live search was in the background still trying to lock.

I also compared my phone against a Sprint Cooked ROM on a Sprint device and my **** locked 3x faster than the sprint device.

Here was the conditions:
Temp -15 F
Time 10:00am
Location downtown Fargo ND
My ROM on my XV6850
Sprint Cooked ROM from PPC Kitchen on Sprint device (Co-Worker)
Both OS were 20931 builds.

We both walked down the stairs form our "vault" of an office. We both flicked on TomTom and stood side by side. Mine locked in 7 seconds, his locked in about 23 seconds. A full 15 seconds difference. **** Sprint and all the **** that was talked. I consisitenantly get faster locks than a sprint device.

FTW!!!! llllboredllll forever!

I have not done the aGPS settings in QPST nor have I applied any cabs. My stuff SEEMS to be aGPS. Nothing has locked where this phone has locked before without aGPS. Unless this just has the mother of all GPS recievers I am safe to say this is auto aGPS, atleast on my ROM.

To verify here is what I did.... I disconected data and piped LiveSearch though WiFi. AS soon as I did that Live Search told me I was in the atlantic Ocean, off the coasty of Afric. Just so you know IM not there. As soon as I started Data it locked back into my actual location. Shut data off and I am in the ocean again.

Can someone else try and post results.

GC, what do you think that means? Its repeatable every time.

Would aGPS work indoors?

I guess that'd be a test to see if this is really aGPS (without GC's hack), right?

I know I can't get a lock indoors.

Any chance we could get a modified PRI for those of us with Sprint Touch Pros on Verizon? I'd like to be able to use GPS and be able to use a standard PRL from *228 without a roaming triangle. I'd be willing to donate to whoever could get that working
