Yes, but it doesn't seem to do anything and doesn't look like it is showing any activity. I tried to click on it but it just moves the map.

1. download lllboredlll VZW GPS Fix.cab and put on your storage card
2. install cab but don't soft reset after
3. use gsfinder or total commander to navigate to \windows\ppst.exe
4. execute ppst.exe and go thru the prompts
5. reset your device as needed
6. make sure you location is turned on and enjoy

And I left the managed by windows on.

This is all you did and it is working with AmazeGPS? I did the above and it worked for Google and Live Search, but not Amaze so I started messing around with the HTC GPS Utility.

Maybe everyone could post there ROM's and Bored keep a list of known working ROM's. Mine is obvious. Post radio versions too.

In the worst case, should a hard reset put everything back to the way it was or is this changing something that could survive a hard reset?

Not having much luck here.

I got everything installed and I'm using Scotts original ROM (which I think I saw someone say it was working on).

Location is set to ON.

I load up Google Maps and click Use GPS and it says Seeking GPS satellites (0) and nothing else ever happens.

Do I need to go into HTC GPS config first? Do I need to change any settings inside google maps? If I change google maps to Com4, 4800 baud, it just gets stuck on initializing GPS.

In HTC GPS Tool, I'm getting to to see satellites, but none are getting fixes.

I am having the same problem but i am on the original ROM. I don't know why it's not fixing. The only step I didn't follow was put the cab on a storage card (because I don't have one yet). I have been able to get 10 satellites but no locks... Any ideas?

I'm using Scotts second ROM he came out with and it works fine for me... I had to use the HTC GPS Tool first...I tried it in the house a few times and it would find about 5 satellites with no locks.. So I took it outside and in about 15 seconds it found 10 satellites and locked onto 8...So, If I were u I would head outside and load up the GPS Tool..That might help!
