PPCGeeks - 6/8/09 FIRMWARE UPDATE: Verizon GPS Unlocked

Now I am getting even more confused (which isn't difficult).

I thought PPST1.46.cab was to install ppst.exe for people who didn't already have it on their phone.

No that was the original PRI that come with Verizon's Shipped ROM. PPST.exe is simply a program that is included in the contents of the cab files. My fix, PPST1.46.cab and PPST2.01 all contain PPST.exe

maybe VZ monitors this forum and realized that even if they locked the GPS (very clever) someone here (bored) cracked it. Kudos to you
hope this doesnt stop you from coming up with more creative fixes, so we can stick it to the man
so after this 2.00 fix , the rest of the procedure that we did for the old fix hold right?
and do you have a cab for the latest VZ navigator
i installed the latest official ROM and downloaded the VZ navigator, but it kept complaining about the finding the GPS

I took my phone outside in downtown chicago after applying this fix. I ran quickQPS. I then opened googlemaps, turned location on and was locked to 5 satellites in under 3 seconds. Thanks for providing this great fix for us, this was done SSK 2.1 preview rom.

Anyone else having issues with this? I installed the VZW ROM to play and I'm still showing PRI 1.46_002. I reinstalled and still show this. I tried to install the PPST2.01.cab on this thread and get a message that its unsucessful. I guess I will try to re-flash a third time... funny though that everything else works (phone, text, inet, etc)
