If you used cabs you can uninstall.
If you used my first cab, it places a note in your "my docs" folder with the changes it made.

If you used either of the last two cabs, then here are the changes again;
keyboard cab :
HKCU\ControlPanel\KeyBd
InitialDelay=125 (Original value 375)
RepeatRate=2 (Original value

XT9 cab:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\e001 0409
"imefile"="compime.dll"
"layoutttext"="COMP IME"

HKCU\ControlPanel\SIP
"SuggWords"=dword:0

ok? I dunno why about your broken issue but hope that helps...
Again any issues just reset , and if that doesn't help, just uninstall and reset after...

Re: Laggy Keyboard Fix

Another user who removed vistahide... with NO other changes (reg hacks), it's fast. Adding the hacks, it's where it should have been all along.

Thanks to whoever figured out it was vistahide.

Re: Laggy Keyboard Fix

It doesn't come standard, I added it myself. You put the vistahide.exe file in the startup folder and it loads whenever you soft reset your PPC. To uninstall, just move it out of the startup folder using Total Commander.

And yeah, I just removed VistaHide and what a difference. EVERYTHING is faster. What a damn shame, too - I loved the simplicity and practicality of it, and I think it's the best looking battery indicator out there.

Oh well, no more Vistahide for me!

you can set batti to look exactly the same as vista, but it doesn't work quite right in my system for some reason......

Re: Laggy Keyboard Fix

I gotta say, I have done those tweaks above
-Disable xt9 completely with the regedit/cab
-Set the HKCU\ControlPanel\KeyBd settings lower (I set my initial delay to 60 even!), repeat rate changed to 2.
-stopped using vistahide.

And sometimes I get no lag at all and its great. Other times I get a TON of lag STILL. This is without any programs running in the background, I am a task kill nazi as I got used to WinMo on a 6700 and refuse to leave more than one or two open at a time. The only things in my Startup folder are: AEBPlus, Galarm, poutlook of course, Sensor Lock, and voice command.

This is on Juggalo's rom. Any other ideas?

I'm using MightyRom 4.9.4, and have also completed all of the steps that you mentioned. My lag has all but disappeared, but I haven't done much texting recently, so who knows...

Can someone provide the default settings for these?

When I use the on screen phone keypad, with ABC selected, every character that comes out is a digit.
