Default image viewer?
If I open an image in the File Explorer or from an e-mail attachment, it opens in the Pictures & Videos app. I want all the images to ALWAYS open with the Album app. How do I do this? Registry edit?
Thanks! EDIT: Solution was found in post 29. Quote:

Re: Default image viewer?
I can no longer open jpg's in file explorer/tc. Kind of odd. I would like to rectify this if possible.

Re: Default image viewer?
Wanted to give this a bump. As previously stated, I can no longer view pics while using File Explorer or TC. Any way to fix this?

Re: Default image viewer?
Good question.. Not sure... Sounds like a registry edit..

Re: Default image viewer?
Here is the deal man as I see it,understand it and have it working. Pictures are by default I think being saved to DCIM\100MEDIA if not in your case, then create a folder with that name in your storage card, go to your camera and set it to save pix to storage card. And you should be good to go no reg editing needed. I use Resco photo viewer and had that dilemma b4, so now they both point to the same location \STORAGE\DCIM\100MEDIA.
FYI: You can just rename your existing pic folder ...hope that takes care of your prob dude:mrgreen: |
Re: Default image viewer?
Thanks for the tip. No luck however. Yes, I do save to the storage card. There is a folder called DCIM, then a folder inside called MEDIA100. Just as you described *I think*.
Obviously it's not a huge deal, just would like to be able to view while using File Explorer or TC. Skid |

Try this... using TC select the file with stylus, hold down for options and choose properties. Check the Associate tab what do you see? Mine says .jpg -> jpegimage then an x and below that is a button for 'associate'.. if I click on that it says Command: :MSPIMG Parameter: "%1" Icon File: browsres.dll Index: -6704..... What do you see? BTW I'm looking at the diamond screen not the TP screen as its not at home right now. |
