http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=450335

Use the font editor from this post. Open the font you are trying to use in your case the Star Wars font. Do the autonaming thing like the post suggested.

Now here is how you edit the size of the font (letters/numbers/characters).
Select all Glyphs, then go to Tools/Glyph Transformer. Double Click on Outlines to open up the full menu, and then click on "Scale". Press the right arrow next to it to bring it to the "Script". Then below you can choose what percentage Vertical and Horizontal you want to edit the fonts.

Now you can decrease/increase the white space above and below the font. Just remember it has to be higher than the tallest point of the tallest character in your font and lower than the lowest point of the lowest character in your font. Go to Format/Settings, then metrics tab on top. Win Ascent is the top of your white space and Win Descent is the bottom of the white space.

What I did was opened the Tahoma font from my computer and tried to get the dimensions of the font I wanted the same as Tahoma. Good luck and let me know how it went!

Sorry forgot about the second part of your question. I made the clock using a Manila editor program. That was pretty hard too. There was 4 manila files for different set of numbers, I think they were 012, 345, 678, and 9. When opening each file with the Manila Editor, there was an image file for each set. I had to make and image file for each set with the font and color and save them to that manila file replacing to old images. You also have to get the spacing right or else it would cut off some of the numbers. I will post a cab for that clock if it is wanted.
Awesome! Thanks, I'll try to give this a shot tonight if I get time from the kids.

Ya, I knew how to do that specifically. What I ment was how you actually made the numbers. I am guessing you used the text tool? I tried that with the numbers using Star Wars font that I have and even at the largest type setting that I could get (I think it was 106 or something) it wasn't big enough so I had to manually enlarge it which looked ok but kind of grainy. I use Photoshop btw. I was hoping there was a better way to do this then the cobbled way I started doing.

You a noob, yeah right look at your Thanks count! (Which text/font are you reffering to in "tabs"?

Your clock stays how it is, that is a different files. The TF3D cab changed fonts in TF3D like on the home screen "Call History", appointments, date, carrier. It also changes the fonts in TF3D People, Messages, Weather, etc. (Just the TF3D part though, if you open the app like all people that will be using the WinMo font)

The WinMo Font on the today screeen changes your start text, left and right soft keys. This changes just about everything else file explorer, winmo contacts, even opera. That is because I just took a font, edited it to fit, and renamed it Tahoma. So everything that was Tahoma will now be that font.

Try it out and if you don't like it you can just uninstall it.

I understand now. LOL, I am still learning a lot here and I am sure there is an easier way but this is what I did. I actually used Microsoft Powerpoint with WordArt. Opened up PowerPoint and changed background color to black because I wanted my numbers color to be gray and white. Used Word Art and did each set of number individually, picked font and style I wanted. Changed colors with format word art. Moved numbers around to get the spacing right. Then hit save as and saved as png file. Opened up png file and cropped to be correct square format, I think it was 256 x 256 and saved it. Copied that png back to powerpoint to use picture tool bar to make background color transparent, saved again. Used that image and imported to manila. Again did this a few times to get size and spacing aligned.

Wow and I thought I was doing it the hard way lol. But, your way although harder, might be better. I'll try that. Thanks.

Re: HTC Volume Font - Not a size issue

Well, I have managed to get the font smaller but there seems to be some inconsistancy when it comes to naming the TF3D font files lol.

Some stuff I managed to get shrunk down the first time has now enlarged while yet other fonts I couldn't seem to get to shrink, are. It's like the phone isn't sure what files to use for fonts. All of the .ttf files are identical except for the naming. Between the three or 4 different tutorials for fonts on TF3D, I have managed to aquire a total of 9 different font names...these do include the 2 winmo system fonts. We have:

cour.ttf
tahoma.tff
tahomabd.tff
neue helvetica 35 thin.ttf
neue helvetica 55 roman.ttf
neue Helvetica LT 35 Thin.tff
neue Helvetica LT 55 Roman.tff
Helvetica LT 55 Roman.tff
Helvetica LT 35 Thin.tff

Currently, the font I am having a problem accepting the new font is the the font used on the settings tab. The first time I tried shrinking the font, I was able to get the smaller fonts to accept the new font file but the title fonts would not. Now I finally for the titles toaccept but the smaller fonts won't lol. It's been a vicious cycle.

Re: HTC Volume Font - Not a size issue

LOL yeah I think I stayed up all night one night trying to do this. Did you also do the Tools/Autonaming part in the FontCreator? Even though you change the title of the font "XXXXXXX.ttf", some things use the aliases of the font. Like the font I am using is MARCO-H.ttf, but the alias of it is MarcosHand. If you didn't that may be why it is changing for some things but not the others. Autonaming will apply the aliases for the fonts. If you didn't do it, check that XDA thread again and try to do that. Best of luck again.

Re: HTC Volume Font - Not a size issue

Ya I did the autonaming. The real problem I think I am running into now is...what really is the correct names to use. Since deleting them doesn't automagically cause the stock ones to reappear (like deleting manila files does), I have no way of knowing what the actual original font names had been. Unless I flash back to stock which is not totally out of the question.

Trying to do a search results in the font names as you see them above which makes it hard to know what the phone is actually using. Inserting one by one doesn't seem to work very well either because WinMo doesn't always seem to take to changes the first time plus the original files have been over written thus no longer reliable. If I remove them all I get a mix of default font and my star wars font lol. Geesh, what have I gotten myself into.

Re: HTC Volume Font - Not a size issue

Sorry. I also noticed installing them one by one would cause conflicts. Like I installed tahoma.ttf and some things changed. Uninstalled that and installed tahomabd.ttf thinking the other things would change, but they didn't. Installed both tahoma.ttf and tahomabd.ttf and everything changed. Wierd it was like it needed both to change. Maybe just use the Star Wars font for TF3D so that it can match your theme, but something else for WinMo so that it fits better. That is actually why I used different fonts, also some fonts (the one I used for TF3D) does not have a character for all the Glyphs.

Post the Star Wars font you are trying to use? I will check it out.

The winmo fonts are actually working correctly lol. When I get home and get a chance, I will shoot you the font I use. Thanks for your help.
