Try unchecking it. I don't have it checked on my TP and my clicks/pops/whirs work fine. Having it enabled may be over-riding the registry changes you're making.

Re: Customize Screen Tap Sound

i'd love to know how to change the screen tap sound on my titan. already replaced the stock sound file with a renamed replacement, and tried the registry tweak listed here...still makes the stock sound.

Re: Customize Screen Tap Sound

Maybe this should be moved to the tweaks section since it's not phone specific. I'm also using a Titan. I made the reg edit and changed the file as described. The problem is that the MenuPop wav file is not the file for the screen tap. At least it's not for WM 6.5, which I'm running. Maybe it was for 6.0/6.1. I searched my phone high and low and can't find the file that makes the screen tap sound. However, the MenuPop wav does sound whenever I press a menu option, ie File Explorer/Menu.

Re: Customize Screen Tap Sound

right, menupop is different than screen tap. I don't think screen tap came out until diamond/tp &or tf3d.

I don't remember if it was on the stock Titan ROM or any 6.0/6.1 ROM. What I do know is that it's now on my 6.5 ROM and the screen tap sound file is nowhere to be found in the Windows directory or anywhere else. I can't find it. Maybe I'm blind. Maybe it's embedded in a .dll or something, if that's even possible.

Re: Customize Screen Tap Sound

Finally...i thought i was going insane.

i was starting to think that maybe the screen tap and hardware key sounds were embedded in the phone itself....but other people have changed them, so it's gotta be OS-controlled. i'm thinking it's a registry entry...i've found a few keys that might control it, but i'm afraid to touch them, because i can't afford to brick my phone.

Re: Customize Screen Tap Sound

I am also interested in this. I have also searched every audio file I can find and find sounds that are close to it, like the menupop and hwandsw but they are not it. I'm dedicated to find it because I've switched almost all of my other sounds to correspond with the screen tap I want but this one does seem to possess an issue to find lol.

I flash roms as often as I take showers, and right now I am def. testing the current rom I am on so I can try reg edits if anyone has any idea's. Let me know, if you want to PM me thats fine.
