Re: Customize Screen Tap Sound

I posted this a while ago in the Titan thread, but it still applies:
  • 1. Download the attached .txt file, which holds the entries necessary for the "Curr0" registry value.
  • 2. Open the file and copy all of the text.
  • 3. Navigate to the following registry hive:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Snd\Event]
***You'll have to edit the registry using something other than PHMRegedit -- I've found that you'll have to manually type in all the strings using PHM and can't copy/paste (Resco works, not sure about TC).
  • 4. Copy the text into the "Curr0" multi-string value.
  • 5. Wait for the settings to take effect (e.g. soft reset after a cup of coffee).
If you want to just delete the menu pops and clicks (some find them annoying), replace "MenuPop" with "Empty." Change the sounds by copying new sound bites into the Windows directory, using the same naming convention (i.e. Infbeg, Infend, Default).

Personally, I've always liked the 6700 pops/clicks/sounds, so I've ported them over to my 6800 and now TP. They're attached as well.

Enjoy.
