I used fellowes on my mogul and that was junk. Made the screen look ugly upon application and scratched to hell when using their install kit.
I don't expect much from a freebie and that is what I feel I got. The provided screen cover seems thick and changes the sheen and feel of the screen. I have used Invisible Shield and Ghost-Armor, deciding that I like Ghost-Armor better. Compared to Invisible Shield it is thinner, less "spongy" and has less "orange peel" effect. For $25 I get coverage for nearly every part of my $600 phone. When properly applied (including 24 hours to "cure") my protector has no bubbles or edges that pull back from the phone. I dyed the back cover black and installed the Ghost-Armor giving it a great looking piano craft appearance.

While you made some valid points about the freebie, I still view it as junk because the change in sheen and feel, as well as the propensity to peel back from the edges over time.

I recommend trying Ghost-Armor (follow the install instructions exactly) and see what a difference you get from a fairly small investment.

Re: How scratchproof is the Touch Pro screen?

While ghost armor, invisible shield, and bodyguardz are all worth their hefty price, the included protector is a great temporary solution and should be applied immediately upon unboxing (unless you already have a full body kit of course). The stock sticker is clear and has a great surface, unlike some cheap protectors found at retail stores. I would never recommend leaving the screen naked. I've been too lazy to install the bodyguardz kit that I bought, so I have the free protector on in the meantime. I could live with scratches on the body and back, but not on the screen. We've already had several threads here where people mentioned how they dropped their phones out of their protective cases only to have it all scratched and beat up - we don't need another, so suit up your phone and you'll be happy you did.

Re: How scratchproof is the Touch Pro screen?

The VZW TP almost looked like it already had a screen protector on when you buy it. But nope, it didn't. And now I have a few scratches already. For a while it was perfect so I thought I was good without a screen protector. Wish I had seen this thread before. So I'll be replacing it and putting a screen protector on the new one.

Does the full body Ghost Protector (or any of the major covers) make the back too slick.
I am going for screen, want the protection, but like the feel of back, feels less slippery.

not a big fan of the shieldprotectors on the screen. its rubbery and sliding with fingers doesnt feel as smooth as the stock protector.

i haven't put mine on yet, but if you're concerned about that you can just purchase the actual screen protector... they usually sell it for half the price of the full body. Some have said the back feels nice though.

Re: How scratchproof is the Touch Pro screen?

Hands down I think the Invisible shield is the best option. I'm an AT&T rep so they covered both my phones for free but I would have gladly paid the $35 per phone. My Sprint phone got dropped on the sidewalk and went end over end on the chrome sides and landed on the face and the IS kept it pristine and scratch free. If you have the option to get it installed by an IS rep do it. I can't vouch for the self applied kits. Mine has zero bubbles and zero scratches. Best investment in my phone I ever made since I can't stand pouches and cases.

Re: How scratchproof is the Touch Pro screen?

Well, I have taken great care of my touch pro and I have a nasty 1" scratch on my screen and I have no idea how it got there. I don't mind using the screen protector but it seems that it attracts more grease and fingerprints more than just the regular screen and its harder to clean, atleast in my opinion.
