Re: MediaMax versus PDA plan?
I believe the PDA plans include tethering and the mediamax plans don't.
The only way you can add the mediamax plan to the account is to have a dumbphone on the account to activate it, then switch over to a pda. non-touchscreen phones are considered dumbphones by at&t too, even smartphones.

Tethering? Really? I didn't see that anywhere, hrm... Does anyone know if you get faster speeds with the PDA plan? My brother has been using them for years, and seems to think not, but he is not that demanding of his phones/service... |

Re: MediaMax versus PDA plan?
After reading up on the plans, there is no reason to pay for the higher-priced plan. You are only forced to do this if you buy the subsidized phone from AT&T. If you buy one unlocked, from Best Buy, you can use the cheaper plan, and save $15 a month.
