They should, they dont demand the ear buds back. Im not sure what the policy is on swapping out the same device, but i'll tell you that my local sprint center would laugh at you for simply trying to swap out for another device of the same model... they believe defects dont exist.

I have a simular story except I'm on my fourth TP, the first one I exchanged the guy at the corp. sprint store let me keep everything except the phone and cover. I got the batt., cable, charger and he tried to give me the case but I already have an aftermarket case. the guys at the store I deal with are some of the best folks I've dealt with in the cell phone business and I have tried really hard to build a good relationship with them, also when you get good service from a sprint store ask them for there business card because on the card is an email address where you can leave feedback for that store and the employee that helped you. I have left feedback three times, once for the store manager and two of his employee's and the feedback gets back to the store and I believe goes a long way in building relationships.
