Re: Touch Pro SOLD OUT on the Sprint website
I took mine in to have it replaced a week ago because of the overall quality of the phone....battery, heat, creakiness when typing, etc.....
I picked my new one up yesterday and all of those problems are gone....ran music and video for 2 hours with no heat issue and the battery is very close to the Mogul battery life now.....and no creaking when typing...(I should not have to put a piece of tape in the back to stop this) .....the over all quality just feels much much better....(the previous one had a feeling of overall being loose like)...oh and I almost forgot the camera going black were I could not preview pics I was taking....so far that issue is gone also.... I believe that they were back ordered to take care of these issues....the build date is 11/24/08....I am more than happy now with my new TP...

Re: Touch Pro SOLD OUT on the Sprint website
this can't be a matter of one sprint rep not knowing as much as another (as it usually is) because I was told by about 5 different reps I couldn't send my instinct back. I ordered my phone on the 14th of august, it arrived on the 20th, I tried sending it back on the 15th and was told I was 1 day over my eval period. This is why I'm a Sprint customer

Re: Touch Pro SOLD OUT on the Sprint website
this whole theory is silly. The pro is not "so hot" that no one can get one. Its either (1) they pulled them back to do the fixes weve been hearing about to the chrome and build quality; or (2) sprint in their financial troubles ordered less than they thought they needed to avoid a surplus.
WM phones have never been a "hot" item like other devices such as the Strom, iphone, instinct etc. The demand in here is exaggurated highly because were all WM users. Outside of here WM isnt in high demand beyond a few thousand of us. |

Re: Touch Pro SOLD OUT on the Sprint website
I called recently to get a new unit under the 30 day policy (the whiff's unit keeps freezing up). They told me that there were 2,400 units being shipped out 12/5/08, but that they'd still be on back order after that.
Who knows if that was accurate or not. |

Re: Touch Pro SOLD OUT on the Sprint website
I talked to someone from retention and they told me they would not now when the phones will be back in stock they said they wouldn't know until the company that makes the touch pro hence (htc) would send doc's to them letting them know that the shipment is ready to be sent,
From understanding it is more as a problematic sittuation then it has to do with financial, you can mix both of them together in the long run if it does become a problem to sprint then it will hurt their pockets and become finacial , from what was told they did pull the phones off the shelf because of the problems these phones are causing and they dont want to rma every single phone that was sent, I think they rushed creating this phone im glad im stuck with my titan, i rather have little white spots to show up on my screen rather then having a phone that can cook a egg. I will see if i might upgrade later down the road when i see that these phones have been produced properly.
