Windows Live Search ate my Long Press Send Key assignment

Help! I'm using AE Button Plus to extend the functionality of my hardware buttons. I had the LONG press of the Green button (a.k.a. Send Key) unmapped, so it would still work to trigger MS Voice Command (as it did out of the box). This configuration worked for a week until I installed Windows Live (Search and Hotmail, No IM - downloaded directly from microsoft). Now the long press brings up Hotmail in the Windows Live application. I have tried re-mapping the button using AEBPlus again, but nothing works.

Is there a registry key that WinLive creates or screws up? Is there another way to get Voice Command linked back to the send key long press? For now I have it mapped to the long press on volume up key (so it feels similar to my old Apache), But I'd like to get MS Windows Live off my send key.
