picture mail issues on sprint anyone ??

well i tried the cab by dwizzy. i sent a pic to myself and it sent quick enough but it never came back. i know it is not an issue with my customizations as i went back to 100% oem, locked and all, and still had the same issue. it has to be a setting or an app issue b/c i can get calls and texts all day.

here is what happens for me. i go through the process of sending a pic msg and i get the confirmation msg saying my msg will be sent. my data arrows go from grey to white for all of about 10 seconds and then go back to grey. so it looks like it trys to send but doesn't. a minute or two later it will go back to white arrows and send. now the whole time this was going on i kept touching teh screen so that it would not go to sleep. now if i sent a msg and did not keep the screen from going to sleep, it will not send. my issue, i believe is that it does not continue to try to send when the screen is off. is there a setting for this anywhere? can other ppl that are having issues sending try this method out and tell me if it works for you?

Ok I'm back, I have never send a picture to myself from my own phone. I Just tried it for the heck of it. It says it send it to my voicemail. The picture came 12 minutes later. I then sent a picture to my wife phone. Also a touch pro; she got it in 3 1/2 minutes. I then sent a picture to my daughter phone a dumb phone. It took 2 mins. Then sent to my son phone then brother phone then mom phone then 4 friends phone, they all receive message in about 2 1/2 to 3 minutes. 2 of the phones on Version and 2 on T-Mobile. So my picture mail works fine. I also had them send me pictures which worked fine, I'm not sure maybe I'm just lucky. And all I did was what I said in my earlier post #37. from what I learned from my cousin who workers for sprint. He is (Project Manager-Operations and Logistics Emergency Response Team). Unlike MMS which gave you the opinion to register with your online picture mail account and let you put in your password. SPM does it from within the phone and do not require you to put your password, so the only way to do this is to send a picture from your phone to your online picture mail account. And that is how it gets register, if you do not do this it will not work properly. I am on the stock ROM.

Can some please try this.
Go to Picture mail Inbox. Click on one of them. It will open a folder that have pictures you tried to send, or have received or sent. Touch one of the pictures that you tried to send but did not go through. Now hit option and then hit message details. It should tell you the status if it is pending or if it has been sent, and also the time you sent it. Then maybe we can narrow down the problem to see if its something with the phone, the software or something with the system.

I think it also works in reverse.. log onto picturemail from your phone web browser and send a pic from there to your phone.. that should set you up also.

Do I have to do this with every single picture I send or once this is done once it will be fine to send all pics?

i delete all of my test msgs that do not go through but i just tried to send another one to myself using sprint pic mail. once i get out of the shower i will look at the details and post them. it usually says in progress, attempts 1, but it will say that for HOURS.

ok, i got error S64: Cannot send message due to network issues, retry Now? the message details still say:
sent: 05:43 am 1/20/09
status: pending
send atttempts: 1

i tried to send another pic after i got to work. i set roaming to sprint only and it sent right away and my wife msg'd me back within 1 min telling me she got it. maybe this was the trick for me? we will see.

I was sent about 8 messages in one day and I only received two. I logged onto pic mail through the PC and they were all there. Never made it to my phone. Pretty frustrating. I am using the update as well. I hit send and receive and it completes disconnects instantly with no results and I can't delete the messages unless I am currently within the message. I think its an access violation because its being used to display the message on touch flo menu. Could be wrong?

wow..idk..so many people not recv'g, i have recv'd and sent fine with the old sprint picmail app...

Again, realize if you're using the personalizer program to make your own name or whatever where the Sprint goes in the top right of your screen this program will break the receiving of picturemail... all your pics will be online but not come down to your phone. Double check!
