Re: Setup ICS to work for VZW Touch Pro
VzW Touch Pro. MacBook Pro with OSX (10.5)
Installed WMWifiRouter from http://www.wmwifirouter.com/ Installed ICS cab from this thread. Let wifi router do all the normal stuff in the setup wizard. Open up ICS--only get 2 options for PC Connection: BT PAN and USB When I run Wifi router, I can find it, but the Mac finds it as a "device" not as an access point. Of course, no internet access. Any thoughts? |

Re: Setup ICS to work for VZW Touch Pro
I"m not trying to hijack, just trying to get this to work!
If I click on USB in ICS, it won't connect---gives an error, "cannot connect for some reason...." |

Re: Setup ICS to work for VZW Touch Pro
Got it working. Did a hard reset of the phone, installed the ICS cab and it works fine now. Did not have to change anything, just installed ICS

Re: Setup ICS to work for VZW Touch Pro
This worked for followed all instructions stock ROM.
Questions: 1) Ping from command prompt doesn't work. What else doesn't work? How to get it to work? 2) I set this to a public network (Vista). Is that the safe thing to do? Is it ok to make it private with a firewall? thanks |

Re: Setup ICS to work for VZW Touch Pro
Thanks guys and gals. Worked like a charm over WiFi on HTC Touch Pro with the posted ICS cab and the latest WMWifiRouter trial as of 12/22/08. Did not have to do hard reset. Simply did the equivalent of a soft reset by cycling the power on the phone and then running through the config wizard on WMWifiRouter. If you already messed around with the WMWifiRouter, simply reset the settings by going to: Options/Tools/Reset all settings. Didn't have to muck with ICS at all. Left it all as-is, and let the WMWifiRouter do its magic with the default settings.
