Re: Setup ICS to work for VZW Touch Pro
This seems to have turned into a WmWifiRouter thread...LOL
Just for the record I have a Verizon TP running MightyMike's ROM and did not need this patch at all... Open InternetSharing...set connection (USB or BT) Select Data as the network connection... My guess is you would not need to dial anything if your Inetsharing app has this option set to data, even with the above hack. I would try this before you go hacking and adding cabs to your phone. Especially if you are running a custom rom which has already cooked the tweak into the phone! |

Has anyone ever gotten charged on their bill using this method?

Re: Setup ICS to work for VZW Touch Pro
A stupid question to most I am sure, but how do I install the ICSInstall.CAB to my phone? My TMobile Wing had this function and it was great, but just got the phone and in extreme learning curve mode.

Re: Setup ICS to work for VZW Touch Pro
Just wondering if I'm the only one that to achieve a connection via setting device as "dial-up networking" vs "network access point" service on my laptop's bluetooth settings.
I never had problems connecting via USB. BUT I initially attempted to connect with my TP via bluetooth as I did with my APACHE.... using the IntShrUI app, selecting BT Pan, clicking connect, pairing,, then going to my laptop and clicking connect on my bluetooth "network access point" icon... but NOOoooooo... The laptop actually takes like 5-10 seconds to search for an IP, and when I open a browser I get a dns dll error in status bar (w & w/o FW).. BT DUN only worked when I setup my device as a dial-up networking service on my laptop & putting in user: 10dig@vzw3g.com dialing: 777 pass: vzw instruction. On a positive note, speedtests I get are around 700-800kbps/w bt vs 400-500 via usb. Another upside of is instead of connect BT via IntShrUI app then goto laptop & connect.... As long as my radios are on, its JUST 1 step, I connect my "dial-up networking" icon on my laptop, and thats it. BUT, it still bothers me if I'm prob the only dude that had to do things like this, I HATE that.. ANYONE ELSE??? |
