When there is an icoming call, then you just take the phone out of your pocket. In not too dark conditions it will auto-unlock by default within 5 seconds by the light sensor. In dark conditions you can unlock by 2 other means. Triple touch the capacitive sensor area or take out the stylus......

And of course, you can overrule the default behaviour by the settings in post #3 on XDA.
i wasnt sure would like this app. but now that you came over and explained the app. more im going to try it again. thanx for taking time out to answer our questions. s2u2 needs a break. Lol

However, be careful to set the time not too short. 500 ms means it will be unlocked when it sees any light. So maybe you are still busy in taking out of your pocket and you accidently press keys/touchpanel. If 5000 ms seconds is too long, you can set it to 2000 ms or so. But it is up to you

Different solutions have different advantages/usages. The design of TouchLockPro is based on the following principles:
- do not use extra battery (earlier version of s2u2 suffered from this)
- do not use extra CPU (check it out with a task manager, it will show 0% CPU usage, only in case of events it uses some)
- do not use much RAM memory (it is only 31 Kb in memory, when running)
- do not interfere with other active programs (it is not only for incoming calls but can be used in combination with *ANY* application)
- must be simple to operate (default values should suit most of the people, but you can tweak to your own needs by registry settings)
- no fancy stuff, because that would make the program bigger and violate the principles above.

However, I am busy with a separate action program to do more fancy stuff with an User Interface, activated by pressing the BattClock or coupled to a soft or hard-key:
- lockscreen
- lockbacklightoff
- locksuspend
- backlightoff
- suspend
- poweroff
- softreset
- toggle lightsensor usage
- toggle suspend on backlight off
- toggle lock touch panel only
- toggle auto lock on power on
- choose between BattClock (and change position), BattStrip (a small strip on top of the screen, the width of the strip indicates the battery percentage left), Stealth mode (no BattClock, 1x1 pixel when locked, so it is unnoticed))
- configuration screens (so you do not need to use a registry editor for the settings)
- battery info screen
- free RAM memory

This action screen will be bigger in memory footprint (because of the icons), but will not run in the background, after finished with it, it just exits.

But of course, you should use the locking program which does suit you the best.

The xda page has a whole section about the reg tweaks... like vibrate when locked, and light sensor timeout and such... there are some cool functions...

Cool, although I don't like the displays personally.

I would also be interested in what reg tweaks you did. If its not to work maybe you can setup a .cab file? That would be amazing!

Re: TouchLockPro v1.5 released 11/26/08

Anyone experiencing a problem with waking the tp back up while running this software? Sometimes I have to either hit the button a bunch of times or open the keyboard to get my tp to wake up.

Re: TouchLockPro v1.5 released 11/26/08

Yes, sometimes when it's sleeping, I hit the power button and nothing happens. If I open the keyboard or take out the stylus it does awaken.

Also, I can't figure it out, but waking via capacitive touch is very spotty. Sometimes it recognizes by touching no problem and sometimes it doesn't recognize it at all.
