I haven't used it myself yet, but as far as where it would be placed, it won't be visible on the photo like a printed datestamp. It'll be in the metadata where appropriate applications or sites (such as flickr) can see it and make use of it.

I know there are a few dedicated GPS units that do take pics and with those pics you can simply pick one and literally "take me there" with the unit. That's actually a pretty cool feature if you aren't at all familiar with an area you find something of interest in that you might have need to re-visit in the future.

I also haven't tried it on the TP yet, but I think for a while the closest some people could get it on the Diamond was about 100 miles from their location.

i copy the file to my laptop and right click on property, but there's nothing about gps coordinates. the camera data are there, just not anything about gps coordinate. anyone knows what this about...?
