Wavezero’s Recommended Tweaks / Mods / Apps (Cabs Included)

So the purpose of this, more or less, is to have a place to send co-workers and friends who would like to tweak their phone like mine. None of these tweaks or apps were original, they have all been gleaned from the fine people here at ppcgeeks and I don’t remember everyone to whom credit is due. I know there are countless threads that discuss each of these in detail, and these are only my personal preferences.

Almost of the programs are below as zipped cabs. Download to your computer, unzip the file, transfer the cab file to your device, navigate to the file with File Explore and run the cab to install. Always install to device.


EDIT: At the request of our fine mods I have attempted to track down the threads I found each of these on, or the closest thing to it. I’ll keep searching for the one’s that are not listed and add them when I find them.

Also, These are not necessarily the most recent version. Ex. I know there are more recent builds for Opera, however I found the one listed here to be the most stable and user friendly. I’ll change it if there’s another one I like more.


Touch Pro Specific


Gyrator 2 – Allows all programs to rotate orientation just by turning the device (similar to the opera default) The cab is below, but check gyrator.brins0.net for the latest version.
[To get rid of the pesky auto-lock feature: Open Gyrator, select Menu, select Events, tap and hold Stylus In (Lock), select Edit Event, under the Stylus tab uncheck all options, under the Actions tab uncheck all options.]
