Registry Tweaks


Use PHM Registry Editor or like editor to make the following modifications. Do not make any changes not listed below, doing so could potentially brick your device. All values are decimal.

Increase Battery Life -
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\AsyncMac1\Parms
Default value type and value are
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:1
Change to
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:0

Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\PPTP1\Parms
Default value type and value are
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:1
Change to
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:0

Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\L2TP1\Parms
Default value type and value are
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:1
Change to
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:0

Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\Irsir1\Parms
Default value type and value are
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:1
Change to
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:0

Disable SMS Sent Notification -
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settin gs
Default value type and value are
“SMSNoSentMsg”=dword:0
Change to

Hack Internet Sharing to work: -
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing
Delete Extension key,
set/create MaxCMCon=0 (decimal).

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing\settings
Delete ForceCellConnection
[Now, if you have unlimited data and in the internet sharing program select sprint (not PAM) then you can tether to a computer and you will not be charged any extra]

Speed up by increasing the enabling chaching-
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GDI\GLYPHCACHE\
Changed limit from 8192 (16384 on Mogul) to 32768

Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\FATFS
Changed - CacheSize to 4096

Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\FATFS
Changed – EnableCache to 1

Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\StorageManager\Filters\f sreplxfilt
Changed- “ReplStoreCacheSize” to 4096

Remove Magnifying Glass in new Opera build -
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\opera\defaults\
Changed zoomsliderenable to0

Speed Up Internet Connection -
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\Tcpip\Params
Default value type and value are
“TcpMaxConnectRetransmissions”=dword:3
Change to
”TcpMaxConnectRetransmissions”=dword:6

Default value type and value are
“TcpWindowSize”=dword:65536
Change to
“TcpWindowSize”=dword:256960

Create the following new dword values:
Tcp1323Opts = dword:1 (O before pts as in Opera)
TcpMaxDupAcks = dword:2
EnablePTMUDiscovery = dword:1

Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Internet Settings
Default value type and value are
“MaxConnectionsPerServer”=dword:4
Change to
“MaxConnectionsPerServer”=dword:10

Create the following new dword values:
MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server = dword: 20 (Zero before Server)

Fix Slow Keyboard input -
First Turn off Predictive text input (XT9)
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Layouts\e0010409
Default value type and value are
"ime file"=eT9ime.dll
Change to
"ime file"=compime.dll

Default value type and value are
"layouttext"=eT9 UME
Change to
"layouttext"=COMP IME

Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SIP
Default value type and value are
"SuggWords"=dword:1
Change to
"SuggWords"=dword:0

Then Correct the lag
Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\KeyBd
Default value type and value are
InitialDelay=dword:375
Change to
InitialDelay=dword:125

Default value type and value are
RepeatRate=dowrd:8
Change to
RepeatRate=2

Make Voice Command (VC) Announce Caller-
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\TTSAnnounce\Category
change from VoiceCommand1 to Ring

change from as5p to v0p (that's v-zero-p) - for vibrate & ring, or p (ring only)

Faster End Call-
HKLM\Software\HTC\PHONE\PhoneExtendSetting]
"EndCallTime"=dword:3000

The 3000 is the default 3 seconds... I like to make it 1000 which means it takes 1/3rd the time to end a call.

Other Tweaks


IE Address (faster Browsing) -
Go to Start>Settings>Connections>Manage existing connections
Select SprintPCS, then Edit...
Hit Next and Next again, then click Advanced...
Under Servers tab select Use specific server address
Enter the following:
DNS: 208.67.222.222
Alt DNS: 208.67.220.220
Hit OK then Finish (It might tell you connection is active, just say ok)
Soft reset
When you first reconnect to the internet it will ask you for name\pass......well just leave the name and pass blank and check the box to remember.

Higher Call Priority -
dial ##778# (may be ##778 on some devices, if that doesn't work, run EPST.exe from \Windows).
Click edit, type in your MSL, and hit OK. Now choose View Info in the lower left corner, and hit NAM settings.
On this page you can change your ACCOLC the lower the higher priority (remember, don't use 0 or 1- leave this for emergency personnel).

TouchFlo 3D Tweaks


Before modifying TF3D, tap the start menu, then settings, then Today. Uncheck TouchFlo 3D, hit ok then soft reset.

To Delete the Sprint Music Header on the Music Tab-
1) open total commander (or other file editing program) and go to the windows folder
2) scroll down and locate the file "26948339_manila", highlight it and select "edit" from the file menu
3) scroll down within the file until you locate the line that says:
<Page Order="5" Name="music.page" PackageName="HTC" Title="[[IDS_MUSICTITLE]]" ExternalScriptPath="HTC\Scripts\sprintmusic.luac">
(note that on the XDA site, the code says "Page Order "4"....")
4) delete this part of the code only: ExternalScriptPath="HTC\Scripts\sprintmusic.luac"
(make sure that this is the only thing you delete)
5) select "save" under the file menu, exit the program and soft reset...that should do it.

Using Total Commander copy \Windows\269483399_manila to another folder (for back up)
Download the 269483399_manila file below and copy it over the current one in \Windows

To Remove the Youtube shortcut in the Internet Tab-
Using Total Commander copy \Windows\27c65cbd_manila to another folder (for back up)
Download the 27c65cbd _manila file below and copy it over the current one in \Windows

To Change Default Browser to IE-
If you want your favorites to show up in your internet tab below the globe then set all your bookmarks in opera first
Download the Manila Opera Fix file below, copy the OperaL.exe file over the current one in \Windows.
WARNING: this will kill Opera, to reinstall Opera (reset defaults) run the WM6_PPC_HTC_Opera0_WWE cab from \Windows

To Set Your Custom Background to ALL tabs & change to glass flipclock-
Using Total commander, copy the contents of Backgrounds+FlipClock(Glass) over the current ones in \Windows.

To revert to default settings do the same with Original Clock no bg

Sense Tweaks

Make the settings icon actually go to the settings-

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo]
Default value type and value are
"HideSettings"=dword:1
Change to
"HideSettings"=dword:0

Will now display two settings icons, with file explore navigate to My Device\Windows\Start Menu\Programs and delete the settings program.


To enable ClearType in Landscape mode:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GDI\ClearTypeSettings
Default value type and value are
"OffOnRotation"=dword:1
Change to
"OffOnRotation"=dword:0


To disable:

HKLM\System\GDI\ClearTypeSettings\OffOnRotation = 1 (DWORD decimal)
