Tried an ipod video wire I picked up at fry's and it didn't output any picture. Maybe it needs a camcorder cable due to the wiring difference.

I bought an adapter for $4 on EBAY (you can find it for $3) - and it can be used to make this cable! THat way you don't waste the adapter that came with your touch pro!

I just used it to make a new TV Out cable and it worked great using a $1 camcorder cable!

As soon as you've broken pin #4 on that adapter, you're done! You just have to connect the camcorder cable and you're all set to watch video on your TV.

Just to be clear, this is the adapter I used:

Okay, I got one of these adaptors, broke pin 4, but it doesn't seem to work :(

Polloloco, can you tell me exactly the behavior of the adaptor, with regard to the cable and when you have it plugged in?

When will the TV out screen come up, when you plug in the adaptor, or do you have to have the cables plugged in too?

It could be that the AV cables I have aren't the right ones, but I would have though that I would be able to get SOME kind of activity from it when I try various video and audio cables, but so far nothing.

But the adaptor itself won't trigger it?

i used a 3.5mm rca cord but had to switch around the plugs.....like the red one went into where the yellow one is supposed to go.....that fixed it for me.

No I have not. I tried 2 different cables, but I am not sure if they are the right arrangement. I need to map them with a multimeter.

I'm not even sure what is the right arrangement.
