Another TV-out diy guide simple
1 Attachment(s)
After reading 4 or 5 different guides. I just broke off pin 4 from the 4 way connector that came with the pro as instructed in this post.
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...+out+cable+diy Then just plug in any 4 prong 3.5mm video cables (ipod, zune, video camera). no cutting no splicing. you loose headset functions and just audio out if that a big deal go ask sprint for an other they will give u an other (in my experience). |
Re: Another TV-out diy guide simple

Re: Another TV-out diy guide simple
what do you mean no audio out? as in.. there is no audio on the videos you play?? if that is the case your find is fairly useless.

Re: Another TV-out diy guide simple
Now see that will be fine with me.. I use bluetooth stereo headphones.. so I dont care about the audio coming out of that little box as long as I get audio to my tv cause if that works then it is on like frickin donkey kong

Re: Another TV-out diy guide simple
That is the best option I've heard of . . . I just wonder if I can find a replacement for the adapter if I ever have to return my phone? Perhaps it would be covered by insurance . . .
I made a cable out of spliced wires, and I'm not happy with the results. I'd rather try this. I hope the camcorder pinout is standard, in the past I've noticed conflicts trying to cross brands. |

Re: Another TV-out diy guide simple
I just tested this and it does indeed work. I just used my old iPod video cable. Instead of pulling pin 4, though, I opened the box (easy with a small flat head screwdriver) and cut the BLUE wire coming from the connector. That way, I can add a switch later if I want and have it both ways! Since the blue wire is pin 4, either way will work. Good find!
