Re: What is everyone using to switch between task ?

after using magic button, wktask and the built-in task manager i went back to pBar which i had on my 6700 (still do) -- version 1.5 works with VGA resolution. I use it in conjunction with vista hide battery gauge (i like the colors and the pixel height as opposed to batti) -- pBar also has a comm manager built-in and soft-reset built-in. i like it so far -- you download an .exe file, just throw a shortcut into your startup folder. i use it with TF3D with no problems so far, btw.

looks way too busy for my taste, like my huge man fingers would launch 5 apps at once by accident.

Re: What is everyone using to switch between task ?

Does anyone know of a way to just have the HTC task manager always up? It basically works the way I want it to, except that if I'm in one application I can't open it up to switch to another application (kinda defeating the point of a task manager).

This is semi-related, but a bit off topic: any suggestions for a battery meter that has a small memory footprint and no battery drain. Not sure if any battery meters do have increased battery drain (it seems like some could poll the battery more/less frequently or something), but I'm trying to come up with the most battery efficient setup that I can.

not a bad idea. like maybe the way batti works, there can be another line at the bottom showing memory usage... you should go share this idea with xda.

I use the SPB Task manager and use AE buttons to assign it to the long press of Volume Down.

Yeah ultimately this is why I so far am sticking with HTC Task manager, however like the anonymatt said, it doesn't stay available on all screens

Still looking for a perfect task switcher ...

lol, that actually would be a good idea, but that's not what I meant by small memory footprint. I meant that it consumed very little resources (memory, etc), and most specifically battery life. I don't know if the different battery meters handle this differently, but it would be a pain if it polled too frequently or something, causing excessive drain.

I was using Batti for a while, and liked it, and will probably try it again, but was just curious as to other options out there.

Re: What is everyone using to switch between task ?

OK, so I read through the entire thread and started with Aebutton and while I did not like the built-in task manager it seemed very simple and did what I asked it to do on my Touch Pro.

BUT...I also noticed that my battery was draining at an alarming rate and I could not figure out why. Only thing I had installed was Aebutton but I just couldn't justify it sucking up battery. (baseline mA usage is 57-84mA, with AEbutton it was 184mA)

So I did the only thing I knew to do, I uninstalled it after resetting all my buttons and back to 57-84mA immediately.

Sorry I can't justify doubling my battery usage for this program. anyone know of any other less battery intensive programs that will work for task switching +/- button remapping?

Thank you

Shawn
