Re: A $1.48 goes a long way... Black Battery Cover!
I caught that, I was just wondering if you feel like trying to scrub the paint off.

That leaves me with another item of interest to note (sort of along those lines). I had to remove the "Invisible Shield" that I had on the back to get this dyed and noticed that the underside of the shield was discolored from the original finish on the back cover. This wasn't on the entire shield, but just along the curved edges on the right/left sides (if that makes sense). So, does that mean that the original finish is a simple dye job too? Something to ponder... or not. |

Ok, don't feel like posting pictures right now but I can also confirm that this works perfectly. Did everything the OP said to do and it looks great, if I didn't know any better I would have thought that this was an OEM battery cover.

Only one word can sum this whole experiment up effectively...

I really like my charcoal or black back on my Alltel Diamond, but I do not see a link to where you are buying these spare backs...

Re: A $1.48 goes a long way... Black Battery Cover!
I went ahead and did mine in black and I can further confirm that it does work very well. There are a couple of things worth mentioning though.
1. When u first remove it from the water and rinse it, u may see some lines and marks but dont worry about that. 2. Rinse for about a minute as the extra rinses off pretty quickly and blot dry with a paper towel. You will still see some marks and striations still but DONT WORRY! 3. Now here is the kicker. Take a paper towel and buff the entire cover. It kind of acts like fluffing up the texture grip on the cover. After doing this it will be 100% flawless like it came from the store! ALL HAIL XWEAPONX FOR HAVING THE GUTS TO TRY THIS AND MAKE IT HAPPEN! =D>=D>=D>=D>=D>
