Re: A $1.48 goes a long way... Black Battery Cover!
I now have a Hero. I am think the same procedure will work on the rubberized finish on the Hero as well. I will test and report back.
After all, I have seen OEM replacement housing on fleabay so if I screw it up, its a $15.00 replacement... |

The same coating on the Diamond, Touch Pro, Touch is the same on the Hero. I believe its a teflon based polymer (cannot recall the technical name at the moment...) and has been proven to hold a reasonably well dye very well.
However the Hero has a front & back housing with buttons integrated which may complicate a successful complete recolor. But since I am a daredevil in this regard, I have convinced myself to give it a shot... |

Re: A $1.48 goes a long way... Black Battery Cover!
Well since they ordered me a TP2 I have some stuff I don't need. I have 3 TP backs - one with a few months use (slight darkening), one basically new and one that is completely new with the plastic still on both sides. I also have a spare OEM TP battery and 2 extra stylus'.
Make me an offer through PM - please don't clog this thread up. |

xweaponx, I want to get the color that your very first pics show. It looks like a very dark grey (not the black you say it is), which is exactly what I want. I'll try mixing their grey with the black, and see how it goes.
Thanks!! |
