I am in my 15th month on my 2 years SERO contract. They only wanted to give me a 75 discount towards the PRO. I told them its rediculous and I wont pay that much and possible terminate my linre for a iphone. Lie ofcourse. Then they gave it to me for 299.99 out the door with no MIR.

I never said anything about the touch pro.. didnt get that far.. They asked why I am cancelling and I told them my current phone issues and internet being very slow. that was about it..

When you call, tell the robot you want to cancel your service,. This will get you to Retentions. You dont have to make up any stories really. Just say your out of contract, thinking of moving to at&t for the iphone, but would be willing to stay if they could get you a great deal on a phone like the Pro.

That is what I did and I got a an extra $100 off, so the Prop only cost my like $169 with no rebates.

Sorry to hear that Zenkar. Sprint still seems stuck on "deals for new customers only" mode. If you switch to VZW for a 30 day trial, then call Sprint back up about porting your number, you'll probably get some better deals on phones. IF you want to go through all that hassle...

I'm on old SERO, so I don't mess with Sprint anymore for phones. I'm too nervous someone will "update" my plan for me.

Going through eBay (buyer beware) I was able to place an order for the Pro for $445.99 (about $120 off Sprint unsubsidized price). I had a 10% ebay coupon, so price out the door was $404.99. I just got confirmation for my MS Live discount, and I'll be credited $112.50.
Total cost for Pro will be $292.49.
No contract extension, or messing with my SERO. No hassling with Sprint. The phone is mine. I can switch to Alltel or VZW if/when Sprint goes belly up.

Called verizon for prices on a similar plan.. Unlimted data/text/internet 450 minutes for 62$ after my 13% company discount. 199$ for new blackberry storm after 50$ MIR... Take care sprint..

After your 2 year contract is up, good luck getting anything from Verizon as well

you have better chance getting discounted device from sprint.
you just need to know how to reason and get a good rep.

I called Retention directly today. They didn't do anything for me. Told me they could give me the HTC Touch Pro for $400. It costs me $200 to early terminate and $179 for the T-Mobile G1. So it's actually cheaper just to switch to a different carrier.

tell sprint im sick of all these problems, i want the htc pro htc basically as what sprint owes you for the problems youve had, and their is no reason why sprint cant seem to get your bill/ or services correct and it's stupid that you think you should pay almost $600.00 for a phone that sprint, who cant even make YOU happy now so why would u pay THAT just to go through the same problems?

Now you don't reall yhave to have problems but sprint has SO many problems they will believe u trust me.. works for me and my two roomates every time
