Re: People you are talking to complaining they can hear themselves??

Problem solved...Sort of...Its a volume thing. When I turned the volume down to an acceptable level the echo went away. Also turned the volume all the way up and removed the ear piece and the problem was still gone...The plantronics 510 is just too darn sensitive.

Re: People you are talking to complaining they can hear themselves??

Have the same problem as well. My ear piece was quiet, so I installed the lite audio booster. Worked fine for a bit, and then people started complaining of an echo. They hear themselves, but it's scratchy sounding. It doesn't matter what carrier I call either. Friends on different networks all tell me the same thing and that it's annoying. I uninstalled the lite audio booster and there was no change with the echo problem. Even with the volume set to the lowest setting, echo still occurs. This happens whether I am using the earpiece, speaker phone, or my wired headset. The results are the same. Could this be a defective phone? Build date is 11/19/2008.

Have you tried a hard-reset to get rid of the remnants of your audio booster?

Not yet, that's my next step. I don't have much time since I am a full time grad student, but I'll get to it. I was under the impression that things would return to normal when removing the boost, but the volume control is still much faster than I remember when it was new.
