Hi all,
I extended my contract for 2 more yrs back in Oct 30th,2008 @BB (I also bought 2 Touch Pro's @ $239.99 each after the $60 dsct from BB). Sprint forced me to get the $129.99/month for 1500 mins Share Family Plan at the time of the 2 yr renewal. However, a week later, I was able to get down to the 700 mins -SFP@ $69.99/month + 2 data packs of $15 per pda (my wife and I don't really need/use the extra stuff the higher plan offers) .
My question is -- If I sent a rebate for each of my phones, do you guys think Sprint will make me go back to the more expensive plan (1500mins@$129.99/month) so i can get a rebate of $100 per device? Or they will just deny it since my current data pack is not a $25 or higher? Has anyone under the same situation I am in, has tried to get the MIR?
Please let me know.....I know it sounds a bit greedy but I don't want to mess up and be forced to go back to the most expensive plan (now that my budget is very tiqht) so I can get a $200 MIR for my 2 phones.

So, are you are wondering if you can cheat (defraud) them and get away with it?

I bought mine at Best Buy on October 24. I'd like to try submitting a rebate form, but all of the ones I've seen say you have to have bought the phone on October 30 or later. Does anyone have a link to a rebate form for the Touch Pro for an earlier purchase date?

No - I am not trying to cheat/defraud Sprint. I am paying for what I'm using. Nobody gives me anything for free!!!! I don't need to pay for a higher plan when I don't need all the extra stuff like unlimited texting, gps navigation, etc. I just don't think I am cheating anyone as I am still paying my bill every month on time. Also, why would I have to pay for the most expensive data pack when I don't use it that much. I purchased each one of my 2 TP's at BB. If I used the BB's $60 rebates, I guess I was lucky enough to qualify for this!
All I am asking is if anyone who has a data pack under $25 could still get the MIR. If not, fine. You don't need to act like GOD (free of sins).

I have SEEN a MIR on a BB advertsiement, but I believe it read for new lines of service.

And no, they would not make you change your plan for the rebate, they would either honor it or deny it.

I got my rebates with no trouble and I am on an old $10 unlimited data plan. So I think you are good to go.
