Re: Earpiece Volume to loud

Mine is also very loud, especially with a wired headset. I have that thing turn on the lowest settings and its too loud. My phone has zero modifications. The loudness is only a problem with a wired headset.

This is not an issue with the exculating volume control on the ringer. It's not set to do that and it's not gradual. It's quiet then bursts to load then back...anyone else notice this?

thanks

This is known as a thread hijack.

Back to my original topic, I will try the lite version of the para audio hack, but Im wondering how a change to make the earpiece louder will help me lower mine. Maybe I have sensitive ears, but I have never had a phone that I had to hold it away from my ear, on its lowest volume setting. I was hoping there was a registry setting for min volume setting for earpiece.

Thanks to all who posted. And glad to see im not the only one experiencing this.

Re: Earpiece Volume to loud

My earpiece speaker is very loud also. I have to reduce it to the lowest volume and it's still loud, but not uncomfortable. The speakerphone on mine is very loud also. Even at the lowest volume setting, it's louder than I'd like. I guess I shouldn't complain with all the posts about the volume being too low though. Please post if the para audio hack works.

I wonder if there is a way for us to export our audio settings to compare with the two audio para files? Maybe it would help those that are experiencing low volume issues?

Re: Earpiece Volume to loud

To tell you the truth, im really nervous to try that. If it makes it louder, am I stuck with it? Can the changes be undone and return it back to the original setting if it does end up louder?

Re: Earpiece Volume to loud

Ok, I put my fears aside and installed the lite cab found in the zip file in the first post of the following link.

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...highlight=para

At first it didnt seem like it did anything. Then (While on a call) I turned the volume all the way up, then all the way back down. It went down, way way down. I had to bump it up 2 notches to hear the other party. It seems as though it worked, and worked well. However, before installing the cab file, try this. While on a call, turn the volume all the way up, then all the way down. I have never turned it all the way up because I was so busy trying to turn it all the way down. If this does not make a difference, then install this cab, make a call and turn the volume all the way up then down. Im so glad this is fixed. I cant stand when my phone conversation can be overheard by anyone standing near because the ear piece is so loud.

Let me know if any of these work for you.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Re: Earpiece Volume to loud

Sorry to have "hi-jacked" your thread topic....but

Though my question was related by virtue of the Volume cab.

I installed and also had a question about the possibility of the cab being what was causing my phone to ring differently.

Did not intend to completely derail your conversation, just to ask a related question about the cab and it's affects.

btw...for whatever reason, my search button within this site isn't working and to find answers I have to find something close and ask.

Click on search...nothing happens??? thx
