No... just hit start, hit settings, hit the system tab, hit the icon that says 'Long Key Press', and assign it to end your data connection.

The long key press is actually holding down your end key.

OK After a few hard resets I determined that this only happens after I activesync my device with my PC for the first time (or even connect it via USB without synching). Anyone know how to correct this problem? My wifes phone is also sync'd (to a different computer) but she is not having this problem.

My Data Connection is always turned on. Is that what's draining my battery quicker? I was in Dallas this weekend for the game. I charged my phone over and left the hotel around 2pm to head out to the game. I didnt make any calls at all! i only texted and sent pictures. May battery was dead by 11pm.

Generally your data connection doesn't draw power when inactive. It uses power when actually being used, like when downloading off the internet.
