SPRINT: How to end data connection?

Hello,

In Communications, when I tap Data Connection it doesn't disable the internet, but takes me to a "Connections" management screen that says stuff like "Add a new modem connection, Setup my proxy server, Manage existing connections" etc. I don't think this is working right, because when I first got the TP, that button used to end the data connection.

Thanks for any help, this is driving me crazy...

Why do you want to close your data connection manually?

When I am done using the internet, I want to close the data connection to save battery life.

Re: SPRINT: How to end data connection?

My data connection button closes the data connection and shuts off activestink. I personally haven't noticed much of a difference at all between no data connection and idle data connection.

Re: SPRINT: How to end data connection?

You can use the comm manager in the settings tab to shut down the data connection at will.. there is also a registry tweak on the diamond boards that gives the option to "disconnect" in the popup bubble when pressing the icon in the task bar. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...0&postcount=85

Thanks for any help, this is driving me crazy...

I am having the same problem but my wife's phone is not having this problem. The only thing I changed on mine and not hers is that I launched Sprint TV which made me download some update for Sprint TV.
Any ideas on how to bring this back to where I can turn the Data Connection Off and On using just the Data Connection button without being sent to settings?
Thanks...

What is Long Key Press? I assume it is basically pressing and holding your stylus down. Where do you do that exactly - I tried at Settings, at system, and several other places but the context menu does not come up. Please help.
